1. Purpose & Scope
These Community Guidelines apply to all users of the Clubedge Events platform, including attendees, organizers, team members, and anyone interacting with events listed on our platform. They complement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Our goal is to maintain a safe, inclusive, and trustworthy environment where communities can come together through events. These guidelines are enforced consistently and fairly across all users regardless of role or status.
2. Our Core Values
Everything on Clubedge Events is guided by these principles:
- Safety first: Every attendee and organizer deserves to feel physically and emotionally safe at events and on the platform.
- Honesty and transparency: Event details, pricing, and descriptions must be accurate and truthful. No bait-and-switch tactics.
- Inclusivity: Events and interactions on our platform must be welcoming to people of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities.
- Accountability: Everyone is responsible for their own behavior. Organizers are additionally responsible for the experiences they create.
- Respect: Treat others the way you want to be treated — in person at events and in all online interactions.
3. Attendee Expectations
As an attendee on Clubedge Events, you are expected to:
- Provide accurate information: Use your real name and valid contact details when registering for events and purchasing tickets.
- Respect event rules: Follow any specific rules or codes of conduct set by the event organizer, including dress codes, age restrictions, or venue policies.
- Be respectful to others: Treat fellow attendees, organizers, staff, and venue personnel with courtesy and respect.
- Honor your commitments: If you register for an event, make an effort to attend. If you cannot attend, cancel your registration when possible so others may take your spot.
- Use tickets responsibly: Do not resell, duplicate, or forge tickets unless the organizer explicitly permits transfers or resale.
- Provide honest feedback: If you leave feedback after an event, ensure it reflects your genuine experience. Do not leave false or malicious reviews.
- Report issues promptly: If you witness harassment, safety concerns, or violations of these guidelines at an event or on the platform, report them using the tools provided.
4. Organizer Standards
Organizers bear a higher level of responsibility. When you create events on Clubedge, you agree to uphold these standards:
4.1 Event Accuracy
- All event details — including title, description, date, time, location, pricing, and capacity — must be accurate and kept up-to-date.
- Do not misrepresent the nature, content, or quality of your event.
- If event details change (venue, date, lineup), notify registered attendees promptly.
- Event images and media must accurately represent the event and not use misleading stock photography or AI-generated imagery presented as real.
4.2 Safety & Legal Compliance
- Ensure your event complies with all applicable local laws, regulations, and permit requirements.
- Maintain appropriate insurance coverage for your events when required by law.
- Implement reasonable safety measures proportional to the size and nature of your event.
- Have a clear plan for emergencies, including medical situations and evacuations.
- If your event involves alcohol, comply with all local laws regarding service, age verification, and responsible consumption.
4.3 Communication & Support
- Respond to attendee questions and concerns in a timely manner (within 48 hours is recommended).
- Provide clear instructions on how attendees can reach you before, during, and after the event.
- Handle refund requests fairly and in accordance with the refund policy you set when creating the event.
4.4 Team Management
- You are responsible for the actions of any team members you invite to help manage your organization or events.
- Assign appropriate roles and permissions to team members. Only grant access that is necessary for their responsibilities.
- Ensure your team members understand and follow these community guidelines.
4.5 Financial Responsibility
- Set fair and transparent pricing for your events. All fees and charges must be clearly disclosed before purchase.
- Do not create events solely for the purpose of collecting payments with no intention of hosting the event.
- Honor your stated refund policy. If an event is cancelled by you, provide full refunds to all ticket holders.

6. Respectful Interaction
All interactions on Clubedge Events — including event descriptions, feedback, messages, and in-person conduct — should be respectful and constructive.
- Event feedback: Anonymous feedback is a tool for constructive improvement. Use it to share honest, actionable insights about your experience. Personal attacks or deliberately false feedback will be removed.
- Public profiles: Organization descriptions and public profiles should be professional, accurate, and free from offensive content.
- In-person conduct: Behavior at events hosted through Clubedge should reflect the same standards of respect expected online. Organizers may remove attendees who violate event rules or these guidelines.
7. Reporting & Enforcement
We take reports seriously and investigate all claims thoroughly. Here is how our enforcement process works:
7.1 How to Report
- On the platform: Use the report or flag features available on event pages, organizer profiles, and feedback sections.
- By email: Send a detailed report to safety@clubedge.live including the nature of the violation, any relevant evidence (screenshots, URLs), and the users or events involved.
- Urgent safety concerns: If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first, then notify us.
7.2 Investigation Process
- All reports are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team.
- We may contact the reporter for additional information or clarification.
- The reported user or organizer will be notified and given an opportunity to respond, except in cases where immediate action is required for safety.
- We aim to resolve reports within 5 business days, though complex cases may take longer.
- The identity of the reporter is kept confidential throughout the process.
8. Consequences
Violations of these guidelines are handled on a case-by-case basis. Consequences are proportional to the severity of the violation and may include:
8.1 Warnings
For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a written warning explaining the violation and what is expected going forward. Warnings remain on your account record.
8.2 Content Removal
Events, feedback, images, or other content that violates these guidelines may be removed without prior notice. You will be notified when content is removed and the reason for removal.
8.3 Temporary Suspension
Repeated violations or a single serious violation may result in a temporary suspension of your account or organization. During suspension:
- You cannot create new events or purchase tickets.
- Your existing events may be hidden from public view.
- You retain access to view your existing tickets and data.
- The suspension duration will be clearly communicated to you.
8.4 Permanent Ban
Severe violations — including fraud, illegal activity, repeated harassment, or creating immediate safety risks — may result in a permanent ban. This includes:
- Complete removal of your account and all associated data.
- Removal of all events and organization profiles from the platform.
- Prohibition from creating new accounts.
- In cases of illegal activity, we may report the matter to relevant authorities.
9. Appeals Process
If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you have the right to appeal:
- Submit an appeal by emailing safety@clubedge.live with the subject line "Appeal: [Your Account/Organization Name]".
- Include a clear explanation of why you believe the decision should be reconsidered, along with any supporting evidence.
- Appeals are reviewed by a senior member of the Trust & Safety team who was not involved in the original decision.
- You will receive a response to your appeal within 10 business days.
- The appeal decision is final. However, if new evidence emerges, you may submit a new appeal after 30 days.
10. Updates to Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time as our platform evolves and as we learn from our community. When we make significant changes:
- We will notify users via email or a prominent notice on the platform.
- Changes take effect 14 days after notification, unless the change addresses an urgent safety concern.
- Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
